Important Information for New Clients

Required Documentation

 To ensure a seamless and accurate tax filing experience, we require certain documents when working with new clients for the first time. Providing these upfront helps us verify your information, ensure compliance, and maximize potential tax benefits.  


To confirm your identity and prevent fraud, please provide:


  • Driver's License or Government-Issued ID (for all filers)
  • Social Security Card or ITIN Documentation (for all individuals on the return)
  • Birth Certificates or Adoption Records (for dependents, if applicable)
  • School Records or Custody Agreements (for dependent verification, if required)


We also request copies of your last two years of filed tax returns to:


  • verify past filings for accuracy
  • ensure proper application of any carryovers (e.g., capital losses, credits, depreciation, etc.)
  • identify missed deductions or credits that could benefit you
  • maintain compliance with IRS regulations

  • Full legal name, Social Security Number (SSN) or Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN)
  • Spouse's and dependents' full legal names, SSNs/ITINs, and birthdates
  • Valid government-issued ID (driver's license, state ID, or passport)
  • Current mailing address, phone number, and email


Income Documents


  • Wages & Salary (Employees)
    • W-2 from from each employer
  • Self-Employment & Freelancing
    • 1099-NEC or 1099-k (for independent contractors, gig workers, freelancers)
    • Income records from side businesses (PayPal, Venmo, Cash App, etc.)
    • Business expenses & Receipts (home office, travel equipment, advertising, etc.)
    • Estimated quarterly tax payments made
  • Investments & Savings
    • 1099-INT (interest income from banks)
    • 1099-DIV (dividends from stocks and mutual funds)
